Pre heat oven to 300(degree sign). Place prime rib in roasting pan or tray with bone side down. Cook roast for 2 to 3.5 hours depending on size of roast. A meat thermometer is a must and will help to determine the desired degree of doneness. Use the chart as followed:
125-130 rare
130-135 med rare
135-145 med
145-155 med well
155 plus well
When roast reaches desired internal temperature, pull roast from oven and let stand for 10-15 minutes before removing ties, removing bones and slicing.
